Resources for Summer Spiritual Growth
Whether you are working an internship, traveling the world, taking classes, or chilling at home, here are some suggestions for books and resources you can dive into over the Summer to continue on your spiritual journey of faith.
CHURCH
You might want to experiment by visiting various local churches to just see different embodiments of the faith. Or you might find one church that you love and opt to stay there for the entirety of the summer. Whatever you do, make Church a priority - be fed spiritually by Word and Sacrament.
COMMUNITY
Stay connected in Christian community. If you have ECP friends nearby, make a point to do things together like hanging out and going to church together. If you don’t have ECP friends nearby, figure out how you can stay connected with fellow Christians - either locally or online.
The bible
Why not try to dig deeper into the Bible this summer? Tackle a book like The Path to get the overview of the Bible. Or dig into one of the Gospels.
Daily devotion and prayer
Make it a priority to establish your own patterns of connecting with God regularly - ideally every day. Consider using of these apps on your commute or set an alarm/appt to meet with God each day and use one of these apps.
